The didactic introductory event in ILS

The Didactic Introductory Event (DEF) is an ILS initiative designed to ensure the quality of teaching staff.

Since the beginning of the year, we have been offering our teachers a short version of an educational seminar: All course instructors who have not completed an SVEB1 course or a comparable qualification in adult education are invited by us to attend a compulsory introductory event in which they are given the opportunity to learn the most important basics of didactics and methodology in adult education in just 90 minutes. The course is divided as follows:

The course leader and the participants briefly introduce themselves to each other; the purpose of the course is explained.

The most important components of the SVEB1 seminar are to be conveyed to the participants in summarized form using a PowerPoint presentation. Depending on requirements and time, some content will be illustrated with personal examples from the course leader or course participants and discussed in plenary. If there is a particular interest in a specific topic, it is possible to seek a discussion with the course leader directly after the event or to arrange an individual appointment with them.

The course is rounded off with feedback and there is room for open questions.

The course is led by an experienced teacher who is also SVEB1-certified.
